Fifth Grade Band On the day of our concert we went in the gym to play songs. Our first song was Starlight. Then we had some instrument feachers which is when part of the band plays a song. Me and the other trumpets played Sweetly Sings the Donkey. Then we played Music, Music, Music.

Band Concert Last night we had a band concert. It was our second one so far. I think we did a good job. It took a lot of hard work to get ready, but it was worth it. Each section got to do their own little song. Us flutes played School Song. We did a good job. Ms. Schwarz had kids come up and takl, instead of her. Us flutes got to up and annoiunce that the flute section was next. We started our song, and before we knew it, it was over and everyone was clapping. "Sweetly
Sings the Donkey." We all together did three songs. Then we selected songs to play in our group. Our group (as in trumpets and me) played "Sweetly Sings the Donkey." The audience really liked our preformance and clapped a lot. On our first song my lips hurt very much for buzzing so long. I'm pretty glad that it is over, ouch, my lips sting. |

The Hard Part The hard part about the band concert was that the doors were open. Also it was windy. The wind was blowing our music. It was hard to see some of our notes when our papers blue all over the place. Lucas was sitting next to me. He didn't have a folder so his papers went allover the place. I could hardly play it was so funny. |
| Last night I played in the band at the spring band consert. I played the cornet and I did great on every song! After our consert we had to sit while the little kids sang songs that honored the great lakes, but it was all right. It was the best night of my life. ...Gabe D. |  |

walked in I was not looking at anybody. There were a lot
of people there. I was so nervous. ...Courtney Yesterday we had the fifth grade
band concert. It took us a while to get the songs right,
but we learned them. I was hoping I wouldn't mess up but
I did horribly. I think Gabe D was the best. He really
must have practiced. |
The concertlast night was greated than I expected it to be. Everyone who showed up was dressed in their best outfits. Everyone was laughing and having a good time before the concert. When it was time we had to line up according to our instruments. Flutes were first. Clarienets were second. Saxophones were third. Trombones were fourth. Trumpets fifth. On Thursday nite we had a band concert. The band concert was great but the only thing that was wrong was Levi. Levi wasn't there and he was our best player, so it was up to me and Zac. I new we could do it because of the training we got from Mrs. Schwarz. She's our music teacher. ...Hunter |
We had a band concert on May 30, 2002. Each group of us got to have a little song out of the book. The trumpets picked Sweetly Sings th Donkey. It was cool. I even got to see my brother sing. I was almost late because my cousin all of a sudden changed his mind and wanted to go. He didn't want to go in the first place because they were doing girl moves and he said it might make him look bad. But I told him not to worry about it....Ben
I play saxaphone. We, the saxaphones, played a song called Bingo. It was difficult because there was a new note in the song. Mrs. Schwarz is our band teacher and she is excellent. She knows how to play almost every instrument. Mrs. Schwarz know how to teach us everything like 8th notes, slurs, and other things. In the concert it was sort of nerveracking because I thought that we would mess up our solo. But then we got it straight and before you know it it's over and everyone is applauding!. ...Travis S. |
