 Zac: The Stonecutter is a play that Mrs.Bennetts class did. In the play I was Tasuka and I chipped away at the base of a mountain. Also in the play I was the sun and I burned the fields and people died of thirst. After that I was the cloud and I created furious storms and made the sky flash with lightning and roar with thunder. Then I was the mountain but I heard the faint sound of a hammer and chisel. The
Stonecutter We did a show called The Stonecutter. We did it in the Media Center. We all wore kamonos. I was a Cherry Blossom Dancer. My favorite part of the show was when the Cherry Blossom Dancers came out to dance. That is what happened at our show. Sherece: Music is very fun. We did a play that is called The Stonecutter. It took lots of practice to learn well. I think we had a fun time learning it and presenting the play to our parents. In the play I was a cherry blossom dancer. Our play was about a Chinese person who wants to be many things. I think that the Chinese person learned a lesson. Karl: I did the play The Stonecutter. I was one of the cloud children. I got one of the easy jobs. There was 4 people being cloud children Ryan, Cody B, Brandon and me. We put cloths on are heads to be cloud children. Lisa: In music we did a play on The Stonecutter. I was a cherry blossom dancer. Zack was Tasuka. Tasuka is the man who wishes to be a prince. Gus was the prince in the beginning and at the end was the man at the foot of the mountain which was Tasuka. All the girls in the class including me were the cherry blossom dancers. Jordan was the narrator. Karl, Brandon, and Ryan were the cloud children. Then the rest were the musicians. That is the parts of the play. |

STONECUTTER When we did The Stonecutter I was a cherry blossom dancer. So was Lisa, Yadira, Cristal, Angela, Katlyn Noelle and Sherece. We had to do a lot of dancing. Also we had to do a lot of practice to get it right. I’m glad we got to do the play and it is over.
Yadira: We did a play the other day named The Stonecutter. It was about a Chinese name Tasuka. He always made wishes that came true because the great spirit heard him. He wished that he was a king and it came true. My favorite part was when I danced. I was a cherry blossom dancer. I liked the show a lot that I did in music.

Ryan: I played in the play The Stonecutter. I was one of the cloud children. We had to do our play in the library. We had to perform to 3 other classes. We are Mrs. Bennett’s fourth grade class. Mrs. Brown’s class did the same play. Our play was about a Chinese folk tale. |
| Cody R: The part I played in The Stone Cutter was an instrument player. My favorite part of The Stone Cutter was when we played the drums. My other band players were Kevin, Joe, Chase, Christian, and me. |  |

Kevin: I was in the play The Stonecutter. My part was to play in the band. My favorite part was when I got to do the thunderstorm. I got to play the bongos and the bell chimes. I almost forgot the words to one of the songs we sang. |
| Angela: In music we did The Stonecutter. I was a cherry blossom dancer in the play. There are four different acts in The Stonecutter. The acts where cherry blossom dancer, cloud children, instermetlrlist , and the narroratere. That was a good play we did in music. |  |
