On Friday Mr. Mauntler's second grade class came to our classroom for reading buddies. I read my Oregon Trail Journal, so I dressed up like a pioneer. She read a book called something like The Rooster Who Went To His Uncle’s Wedding. The book was funny. I thought reading buddies was fun. I want to do it again.

My Little Buddy was Alex. He read a book about a zebra to me. I read my Oregon Trail. ....Luke

My buddy was a second grader. She read a ballet book to me. She also started the Berinstein Bears book. I was dressed for the Oregon Trail so I read part of my Journa. ...Chelsea

Reading our Oregon Trail Journal to a kid in Mr. Mauntler’s class was really fun. I was a partner with Hobbie. She read a book to me. She read Stone Soup. It was a really funny book and she was a really good reader. I enjoyed listening to her read.

Since I was reading my Oregon Trail Journal I dressed up like a pioneer. My journal had some scary and funny parts in it and I think she liked to listen to my story as much as I liked to listen to hers. It was a lot of fun.

Friday March 8 2002 the 2^nd graders come in to read. I got to pick my friend. I got to read my Oregon Trail book. She loved my book she asked a lot of question and I answered them.

I was almost done with my book and she had to go to get her stuff.

I knew her because she rides my bus, but I don’t see her that much because I don’t ride the bus very often.

The second grade kids from Arcadia came to are school and did reading buddies with us. Reading buddies is when they read to you and you read to them for the last half an hour of school. They read the book they’re in the middle of reading and we read are diary or journal that were in the middle of writing.

I read my Diary and his book at reading buddies; he fouled me because I didn’t have a clue what time it was and I read the entire time. I thing that seems funny because I had a soar throat, I think that happened before. He did listen though because I asked him questions at the end. I think he enjoyed my journal. I felt proud about my journal, it seems to be great.

We had the second grade come to our classroom to read. We got to read our Oregon Trail book that we made. Ryan and I had Josh for a reading buddy. It was fun. He read a bear book it was pretty cool. He is a good reader. I read my whole journal. We had about a half an hour to read so we didn’t have a whole lot of time. We all got to read our book.

Well I thought Josh’s book was good. I think he liked mine too. I read my Oregon Trail journal to him.
