The Fourth Grade Students helped the Salvation Army assemble food baskets for Christmas giving.

At the Salvation Army we helped 400 families. We had an assembly line and passed down the bags. I thought it was really fun. I kept switching to a different job. At the end we went to a park until the bus came...Jonathan N.

When I went to the Salvation Army it looked like hard work. but it was easy and fun. We got to do all sort of jobs. My first job was fried onions. Then I pulled bags for a while until my back started to hurt. I had the time of my life. When we were done the lady said we made more than 600 bags. We were so happy. It was fun going to the Salvation Army. I didn't know what we were capable of. We did over 600 bags. I didn't know how many people were hungry in Manistee County...Joe

When we went to the Salvation Army I think a lot of kids in our class felt really good helping. I know that we helped a lot of people. It was really fun sorting the food. When we went to the Salvation Army we had a lot of work. At about 1:30 we got to have cookies and punch, then we switch jobs.
