The Australian Story Teller was a Favorite with the Third Graders

She was a good storyteller. Her body moves like she is really the people. She really talked as if she was a character in the story like the kangaroo. I really liked the kangaroo, how she really looked and acted like it. I liked when she acted like the man. I liked when they got all muddy and the women washed them like clothes. She was like a movie star to me, because she could act as if she was in a movie. ...Katie, grade 3

The Australian story teller did the body language of other charicters. I thought it was funny when she acted the wild washer women. She made the voises of all the charicters sound different. I liked the way she used her hands to show what the charicters were doing. I also liked the way she made the expresoins on her face like the charecters would have. ...Kevin, grade 3

My favorate charicters were the wild washer woman. they were very exited when they took the day off. It was funny when she said that the Washer Woman shook and rinsed and Wacked the woodcutters heads on the rocks then hung them on a tree. ...Noelle, grade 3

The Australian storyteller was good at storytelling because she was good at acting out the characters. For example it was funny when she acted as the 7 wash women. She was yelling and saying "heesh-haah" like they were crazy. Whe was good at acting like a man, and her face was just like the charecter she was talking about. she was good at making a mean face for the 7 wash womens bos. I also liked when she acted like a dingo was pulling the tale of a kangaroo. I liked her storytelling a lot. ...Jon, grade 3

I liked how the Australian Storyteller made the charters come alive. My favorite partwas the songs, and the kanaroo story. My favorite part of the kagaroo story was how she made it look like the daddy kngaroo was pulling the other kangaroo's batms. ... Ethan, grade 3

Today an Austrailian Storyteller came to Onekama School. She was funny because she played seven washer women. She screamed and danced. She pretended she was throwing dirty clothes in the air. I also liked when she played the wood cutting men. When the men got really dirty she looked like the washer women cleaning them. I liked when she pretended the dingo was pulling her and making a tail. I liked when she played her ocean drum and her other insturment. She taught us to say, "Hello" and "Good-bye" and did a good job playing the mean old man. ... Kylie, grade 3

I liked her because she made Me Laugh when she was goin "Whohu Whohu Whohu"!! to show how exsited they were. ...Cody, grade 3
