The thing I liked most about red ribbon week was we got to go to the kindergartners room and make quilts. This is what we did. First we picked out a partner and got a piece of fabric. Then we got some markers and decorated them. My partner was my little brother he helped me on the quilt. Some of the teachers are going to put the quilt together. I can't wait to see it.
Another thing I liked was slipper day. I got to bring my slippers and stuffed animal. I brought my teddy bear to school. A lot of kids wore their slippers and brought their stuffed animal. Some people brought monkeys, mice, dogs, rabbits, bears, and lions. Mr.Finan did not wear his slippers or bring a stuffed animal. I like red ribbon week a lot but next year is the last year I get to do it. I don't like that idea. ...Jackie

For Red Ribbon Week I Helped a little girl named Emalee make quilt squares. It was fun seeing what she would do. We made two squares together. One was “ Awesome and Sweet” and the other “ Little Brother”. She had fun drawing and coloring. Emalee enjoyed making the quilt squares. She loved to draw. She was very fun to work with and I would like to do it again.
There are many differences between kindergarten and fifth grade. Kindergarten does not take as much time as fifth grade does. Fifth grade makes more complicated drawings. Fifth grade had a better attention span and a better skill level. Mrs. Bromley and Mr. Burtch must have some energy to do that job! ... Mary

In red ribbon week we did a lot of fun things, but my favorite thing decorating the door. We first made little paper springs and taped them all over the door. There where about one hundred of them. Then we made fake cookies out of paper and got pictures of the whole class but every kid got a separate one and taped them on the cookies. After that we got our pictures off the computer and typed a paragraph about how we our one smart cookie. Next we put them on the door and it looked great! ...Andy

In red ribbon week my favorite thing to do was the door decorating. There were other things like, backwards day when we wore our shirts and pants backwards. Hat day when we wore a hat and pay fifty cents to a children place. but when we helped the little kids do a piece of a quilt they were hard to work with because they were kind of not getting along. One wonted to color with one marker the other wonted the same marker I settled it. It was fun to but the door was more fun. I didn't do much for the door decorating I made a bongie thing and I made a cookie, we had to decorate it to make it look like a cookie when we were done we put are picture on it. It was a fun week I'm glad I was there. ...Zach
