Writing & Presenting Plays

March 26th Mrs. Jordan's first graders began the final phase of their March Reading Activities.

Each group has written a new version of The Little Red Hen .

We made our own puppets.

On March 30th, they presented their stories to the rest of the students. All the puppet props were hand made. Stories were written and read by the actors.

Alex and Tanner presented the original version of The Little Red Hen.

On Monday, Alex and Tanner made rolls.

The girls spent time writing their play. Then they practiced reading their parts with expression.

Treats, baked by the first graders, were served to the delighted audience. They made strawberry and blueberry muffins, appleturnovers, and biscuits.

We made the Puppet Stage ourselves. We used some of our Jackson Pollack art to decorate. Everyone shared in the work.
The audience could tell we had put a lot of work into our plays.
