"I like Jaylee. She is my friend. She is nice to draw pictures with."...Lindsay

"I like Lindsay because she is my best friend and she is with me a lot." ...Jaylee

"I like my shirt that I made because I made it. It is for orphans to get money because they are poor people." ...Melissa

The DK & Kindergarten classes enjoyed tie dying, January 14.

Fifth grade Peacemakers were the helpers.

"The poor people need food and stuff. We made shirts to sell. We will give the money to the poor people." Tanner

After dipping the shirts in dye, they are carefully hung to dry. The next time the kindergarteners come to art class they will unwrap their dried shirt and view the pattern they have created.

"We got the shirts from the store. We tied rubber bands around them and pipe cleaners around them. Then we put them in the color water." .....Dylan

Very carefully dip the shirt in the dye and count to 10.

"I am standing on the chair because we are doing tie dye shirts for poor people. I had fun" ...Josh

"Take my picture. I made this shirt myself out of food coloring, I think." ...Matt

Before we dip the shirts in dye, we had to tie them with rubber bands. That's why it is called "Tie Dye".

"I put the shirt in the paint and then we let them dry on the line." ....Hobie

"I like Amber because she helped me because she is my best friend of all." ...Mikayla

"I wonder what our shirts will look like when we dry them and unwrap them."

"This is fun. I could do this all day. Maybe I will be a tie dyer when I grow up. Or maybe I will be an art teacher like Mrs. Woolman."

" I like tie dying because we can make stuff. That's all." ...Kayla

"To Jake and Evan, Jake and Evan are my best friends. We like to play. They like to play with me when they are Peacekeepers. Love, Sean. "

"I like the way I made my shirt. It is to help orphans. My name is Justin."

This is like Henry Ford's Assembly Line. only we had shirts instead of cars.
