Jade Bolthouse has won the Best of Show award in the West Shore Community College seventh annual Regional High School Art Competition. Jade won with her mixed media faces, "Evils of Pandora."

Art works in the competition were unveiled and a number of other awards were presented to area high school artists on Sunday afternoon in WSCC’s Arts and Sciences Center.

Second place was won by Amber Maidens with "Cry Wolf."

The juror for the exhibition was Amanda St. Hilaire, an area artist and co-owner of The Red Door Gallery in Ludington. St. Hilaire graduated with a BA in Studio Art from the University of North Carolina Wilmington in 2002. She is a full-time ceramic artist, and is an instructor at the Red Door Gallery and teaches for the West Shore Art League’s Summer Art Exploration Program
