Shane Mills / Photograph shanebelly@aol.com Band's website http://www.soulbelly.com Shane writes, "It's so nice to visit the website and stroll down memory lane as I re-read everybody's blurb. I wanted to let you know that this fall I've taken a position at historic John Muir High School in the Pasadena Unified School District, teaching geometry. It's a very old school, probably built in the 30's (or earlier), which boasts such famous alumni as Jackie Robinson (broke the color barrier in Major League Baseball) and David Lee Roth (of Van Halen fame) among many others. As well, the football team plays their homecoming game against their arch-rivals in the Rose Bowl every year! I'm very excited to be working so close to the community I live in." Dani Schimke dschimke@mfbrc.com Morgan Showalter: Update Oct.06 My wife Sia and I returned to the USA one year ago. Our first child, Maria Carla Ariadne Showalter Photo was born on February 23rd, 2006. She is healthy, beautiful, and a blessing to us. We now live in the suburbs of Baltimore. You can contact me at: morganshowalter@yahoo.com / Photo Heidi Lyman Brammer writes, "I have moved out to Seattle and I love it out here. It is so beautiful with the water and the mountains, but it is far from home. I plan on teaching special education next year, until then I am keeping myself busy subbing and planning my wedding (3000 miles away). My mom and sister have done most of it for me, Thank goodness." brammerb@aol.com Emily Heikkinen eaheikkinen@hotmail.com In the fall of 1999, Emily was on international television leading the Travel Channel host and crew on a trek through Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Park in California. She had ACL and cartilage surgery in the spring of 2000 to repair an injury suffered while skiing in New Zealand. Updated 2005 New Photographs of Emily Matthias Meyns: (Letter)I used to be an exchange student at
Onekama High with the class of 87. Since that time I
finished school, had two years of Army Service and then
started my career in TV and Video production. After
several years in Hamburg I just moved to Berlin to work
for an independent TV-news agency called RTC-TVnews as an
editor. I often think back of the great times I had in
Onekama, and many skills I was able to learn there helped
me very well in managing my life. Though I'm still single
with no kids, I'm quite happy with it. Unfortunately I
have lost contact to my Host family, the Wards over the
years. The last I know is, that my host-mom Mary Ward
lives in Grand Rapids. I really would like to be put on
the e-mail list of the class of 1987 and receive further
information about the 15th reunion planning next summer.
Many Greetings from Germany! |
