Dan Foley Takes Part in the Olympic Torch Relay

Portsmouth, NH
Dec. 28th, 2001

Friday, December 28 -- 11:45 am....Under clear skies and seasonal New England cold in front of his family, friends, an excellent turnout of local Enterasys employees and hundreds of enthusiastic well-wishers jamming Portsmouth's streets, Dan Foley of the Andover office ran with the 2002 Winter Olympic torch representing our company.

Employees held a large banner proclaiming that "Enterasys Networks of Portsmouth, Rochester and Andover MA proudly supports its Torchbearer Daniel Foley." Dan was the very first runner to run his complete 2/10-mile relay leg in the state of New Hampshire, after his torch was lit by the previous runner who had crossed the bridge into Portsmouth from Kittery Maine.

Dan is ready to start

The torch began its route through 46 U.S. states on December 4th, New Hampshire is the 25th state it has visited, and it will reach Salt Lake City Utah on February 8, 2002.

"I was fortunate to be a part of this great event."
