My paintings are in various museum collections including; Arcadia museum, Ramsdell Manistee museum, Holland Public Museum, Hindsdale PA Museum, etc; (too many to mention) I am also included in the Outstanding Poets of 1985 and two poetic anthologies. Jeannette Thamm Alt e-mail: jeannette.alt@gmx.net Dear Webmaster, By chance I came across the web site of Onekama School on the Internet. I spent 1964/65 in Onekama as an exchange student from Germany. I spent that year with the family of Dennis E. McCarthy at one of the most beautiful places of the world. My maiden name is Jeannette Thamm - maybe someone in Onekama still remembers me. After I went back to Germany and finished the German school, I studied Microbiology and Biochemistry at the University in Kiel, Germany. After I have spent 15 years at the university and became assistant professor in medical biology and pathophysiology I became bored and left the university to join the pharmaceutical industry. After having worked in a small biotech company at the front of science I joined Solvay, a pharmaceutical company also known in the US (Atlanta, Ga). I am responsible now for the International Marketing of our Women's Health products - very exciting and a lot of fun. I have been married now for 26 years. My husband Uwe is business consultant and he is traveling a lot. My son Dirk, now 18, just finished school and is now doing his civil service (boys in Germany still get drafted to the army but can refuse and do a year of civil service instead). We live near to Hannover in Germany and just bought an old farm which we will renovate for the time we will retire. It would be nice to hear from the old friends. I haven't heard anything from McCarthys anymore but I saw on the Internet that Blarney Castle Oil Company is still doing fine and there is a Dennis McCarthy CEO of this company.
