The Flat Stanley Project

The Young Fives has adopted a kindergarten Flat person from Mrs. Myers' Kindergarten class at Voyager Elementary School in Gig Harbor, Washington.  The class project is based on the book Flat Stanley by Jeff Brown.  The flat person that is visiting our class is named Flat Hadley.  She has been here 3 weeks and will be sent back home next week.  We've taken her everywhere and have been writing letters to her class back home.  She has become a part of our class and the children will miss her when her visit is over.  This has been a wonderful project to participate in and the class has learned what it is like where Flat Hadley came from.  They wish that they could become flat and sent in the mail as well!
