Part of our fall Philanthropy unit teaches us to share and take turns.  We had to do this during this activity.  We made play dough!  The class learned what a recipe is and how to follow it.  Each child had a chance to pour an ingredient into the bowl.  We had to boil water and salt so we learned not to touch a hot stove.  When it was all done and cooled, the children got to play with their play dough!

Elizabeth puts the oil in.

Cheyenne tries to pour oil onto the spoon.

The boys figure out how much water they need.

Mason pours in a cup of water.

Jade helps Cheyenne measure 1/2 cup of salt.

Jade helps the kids read the recipe.

Cream of Tarter is the key ingredient in making the play dough!
