We made 2 and 3 dimensional shapes with marshmallows and toothpicks. Cody starts on his.

Our math program in DK is Everyday Mathematics. The kids learn numbers, patterns, graphing, simple addition and subtraction, measuring, as well as shapes.

Jami and Emily are having a lot of fun making (and eating) their marshmallow structures!

Kyle, Nicholas, and Dylan start building their 3 dimensional shapes.

We love marshmallows!

Look at these finished structures!

PATTERNS

The DK was working on patterns using craft sticks. They had to make their own patterns using all their sticks. They did a great job!

DISAPPEARING TRAIN

We worked on simple addition and subtraction by playing "Disappearing Train". The kids got into pairs and each had 10 cubes. They took turns rolling the dice and had to either take away cubes or add cubes to their train depending on what they rolled. The first train to disappear first won!
