Leaps Children Visit Newly Hatched Chicks

Mr. Kudlack's Kindergarten classroom is a busy place this week.  On Tuesday, May 1st, the first chicks began pecking their way out of their shells.  On Wednesday, May 2nd, a dozen chicks were placed in the "viewing area" where they could learn to walk as well as get water and food.  There are more eggs still hatching.

On April 11 the kindergarten students, with the help of Mr. Zupin, marked the eggs with an X and an O. Each day the eggs were turned in the incubator. It takes 21 days for the eggs to hatch. Marking photos
